Alberto Battaglia , Angelo Nicchi, Giuseppe Oddo and Giuseppe Quagliana,  are the four “carusi” of Scillato (boys in Sicilian) who have decided to join forces in order to rediscover the agricultural resources that have always distinguished their territory and to put some abandoned lands back into cultivation by reactivating the production process of two particular local cultivars such as the Apricot of Scillato (Slow Food Presidium) and the Arancia Biondo di Scillato. “They call us Carusi but we are growing and every day that passes we try all to cultivate our goal, to rediscover the earth, because our future depends on the earth and on the work of our hands”
